A dedicated attorney, Tessa, is also an enthusiastic Dutch field hockey player. The spirit and energy she exhibits on the hockey field at Hockey Club Feijenoord is also apparent in her work. Driven and steadfast, Tessa performs well on the hockey field. Her team members can always count on her to go the extra mile, as can her colleagues and clients at work. Motivated and ambitious, Tessa has completed two Masters’ degrees, one in Employment Law at the University of Amsterdam, and the other in Health Law at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. Tessa has also followed a summer school programme in European Private Law at the University of Salzburg.

She has been an attorney since February 2020 at De Haij & Van der Wende. Tessa’s broad field of expertise is in Dutch Civil and Corporate Law; she specialises in Employment Law and Corporate Law.

In 2024, Tessa completed the Postgraduate Course in Employment Law (PALA) at the University of Amsterdam. This training is designed for lawyers and attorneys with several years of work experience in Labor Law. The training days are taught by professors and Labor Law attorneys/teachers from across the country. The specialized knowledge proves to be directly applicable in practice. This enables it to provide our firm's clients with up-to-date Employment Law advice even faster.

Besides working as an attorney, she participates in a variety of external activities. Tessa, together with her colleague, Dennis Oud, are members of Duurzaam Capelle. This organisation is the driving force behind circular entrepreneurship in the Capelle area. Tessa is also on the disciplinary committee of Hockey Club Feijenoord.
